February 21st - 2015

A lot of strange connections between tracks on this episode.
Jesse played a set of music from the Corpus Christie Label (an offshoot of Crass) and I happen to play a song from the Avengers called "Corpus Christie" and the Patti Smith song (which was produced by John Cale - as was the Modern Lovers song which we played in a set of music that was all mastered by Fantasy Studios artist George Horn)  I played was covered by an artist called Angel Corpus Christie who worked with Alan Vega of Suicide - we played Suicide at the top of the show because I watched an Elijah Wood movie called "Open Windows" which had that Suicide song play throughout the show, so we also back-scored the program with the remake of "Maniac" soundtrack starring Elijah Wood. Later in the show we played Smashing Pumpkins who are Elijah Wood's favourite band. I love Elijah Wood. He's in the documentary "A Band Called Death" and also has his own music label, plus he helps run a horror festival in LA.
Anyway, we also played a Free Jazz/Avant-Garde Jazz/Captain Beefheart set because our friend Adam said Jazz is horrible and he's just wrong wrong wrong.
